Robot Race – Maze Challenge!

The Robot Race, Maze Challenge presented by The Coder School of Westerville is your chance to program a robot to complete a maze.  We are holding a competition to see who can efficiently program a robot to go through our maze!  Fastest robot through the maze wins!!

Below are the details:

• What: Robot Race – Maze Challenge
• How does it work:You preprogram a robot to complete the same standard maze used by all participants.
• How do you win: The robot that completes the maze the fastest is the winner!
• Do I need to know how to program:No, demos will be provided to help explain how to use the software
• Age groups to enter: Under 10 year old, and 11-18 years old
• How do I enter:Sign up for 1 of 3 different time slots at either 10, 11, or noon.
• How will the winner be announced: Shortly after 1PM the winners will be announced!

Things to know

• Robots are provided: Do not bring your own robot
• Programming Demos: Demos are provided at the Coder School booth to explain how to program the robot
• What to bring:Nothing.All materials and tools will be provided at the event
• Leaderboard: Track how you are doing by viewing the live leader board!It will show the top 10 racers by age group that have completed the course
• We strongly encourage kids to attend the demo at the top of the hour.
   
• We can take on 15 kids per hour.
   
• Grade 6th to 8th will have 10 mins to code.
   
• Grade 3rd to 5th will have 15 mins to code.

Prizes (2 groups):  "3rd-5th Grade" and "6th to 8th Grade"
