Candy Land Tournament

Overview: Candy Land the fun game for all the ages is coming to Learning Rocks!  Players of all ages will get the chance to play this game and have the opportunity to be crowned the Candy Land champion!  The fun will begin by playing the following age groups: 7 and under, 8-12, and 13-18, and special for this event an adult category (19+)!  Everyone can play and have fun!!

Competition Format:  Players will play 1 game with a group of 3-4 players.  Each round is single elimination with only the winner of the game moving to future rounds.  Order of who starts will be based on a roll of the dice with the highest number going first (in the event of a tie, the players who tied will keep rolling until a higher number is achieved).  The winner is determined be the player who reaches the finish of the game first regardless of the starting order.  To keep numbers even between rounds, it may be decided for a specific round to allow 2^nd place finishers to advance to the next round.  That decision will be made before the start of a round. 

Championship Round:  In the championship round, the first person to reach the finish will be declared the Candy Land Champion!  Additionally, the 2^nd, and 3^rd place finisher will be determined also by the completion of the game and reaching the finish.

Prizes

• 1^st Place: Trophy and a big bag of candy
• 2^nd Place: Medal and medium bag of candy
• 3^rd Place: Medal and medium bag of candy

   

• Costume Contest:We will also be providing a 1^st and 2^nd place award based on the best costume that has a candy or candy land theme.It will be determined by either most fun, creative or original.1^st place will receive $50 and 2^nd place $25 and is based on the overall tournament and not age group.Anyone dressing up will receive extra candy!

Note:  All players will receive at least some candy for competing in this super fun game!!

Contest Format:

• Max numbers may be set for the number of competitors by age group so don’t delay to enter!

Notes:

Crowd participation is encouraged and have fun.  Nothing mean spirited will be tolerated, but feel free to cheer on the players and make this a fun event!
